STUDENT PROTECTION POLICY STATEMENT

ZISPP Child Protection Policy

ZISPP is deeply committed to safeguarding children and upholding the highest standards of child protection. The school diligently enforces policies and procedures designed to strengthen child safety across all activities, both on and off campus. ZISPP adopts a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of child abuse.

We are dedicated to ensuring that all staff members—whether paid or unpaid, full-time or part-time, temporary or permanent—undergo a rigorous and standardized recruitment process. Every individual who has direct or indirect contact with children is required to adhere to this process, receive appropriate support and training, and commit to the Child Protection Policy to effectively prevent and address any suspicions or incidents of child abuse.

We are dedicated to safeguarding children from abuse through the following approaches:

Awareness: We will ensure that all students, staff members, and parents are informed about child abuse and the potential risks children may face.

Prevention: By promoting awareness, providing clear guidelines, and encouraging best practices, we will help staff and parents minimize risks to children. Our child protection policies and educational initiatives will also address peer-to-peer abuse and bullying among children.

Reporting: We will make sure that staff members understand the proper procedures to follow when concerns about a child’s safety arise.

Responding: We will take prompt and appropriate action to support and protect children whenever abuse is suspected. This process will be conducted with fairness and transparency.

Participation: We will actively involve children in fostering a safe environment, valuing their perspectives, wishes, and concerns in all matters related to their safety and protection.

Proactive Engagement: We will conduct thorough background checks on all staff, including reference verification and reviewing applicants’ histories, to the fullest extent possible, ensuring they have no record of abuse or neglect based on our defined standards.

Schools play a vital role in preventing violence against children and fostering a safe, supportive environment where students can learn and reach their full potential. At ZISPP, all teachers and staff members, regardless of their role, are required to be fully aware of and adhere to the Child Protection Policy. This policy is designed to prevent potential issues, incidents, or accidents on our school campuses.

Our commitment to child protection goes hand in hand with creating a positive and professional environment for our staff, supporting their growth and development within Cambodia’s education sector. To maintain a safe and nurturing school community, every staff member must strictly follow the Child Protection Policy, ensuring the well-being of both students and colleagues.
